Italy celebrates International Mother Language Day through various programs

The highway was stained with the blood of Bengalis on 21 February 1952 at the demand of the state language Bengal. The recognition of Bengal came at the cost of blood and independence was achieved through the war of liberation.

This day of sacrifice of Bengalis for the protection of the dignity of the mother tongue is now being celebrated all over the world as the International Mother Language Day.This day of pride and mourning has been celebrated by the expatriate Bangladeshis in Italy through various programs.
Language Day was celebrated at Largo Prentice in Rome by the convener of Ekushey Udjapan Parishad Manzur Ahmed Monju and Member-Secretary Siddique Miah under the auspices of Greater Dhaka Samiti and under the supervision of Bangladesh Samiti Italy and with the administrative support of Dhumketu Social Organization.The pre-arranged program includes distribution of prizes for children’s painting competition, Maghrib prayers at the Shaheed Minar premises, prayers for the souls of the martyrs and unveiling of the flower wrapper at the Minar Bedi at 08.01 am local time. Demonstrated by Ekush Udjapan Parishad.Mr. Manjur Ahmed Monju, Convener of the Celebration Council and Mr. Siddique Mia, Member Secretary of the celebration council expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the social personality Mr. Noor Alam Siddiqui Bachchu and political personality Mr. Hasan Iqbal.
Largo Preneste Bangladesh Association Italy, Greater Dhaka Association, Dhaka District Association, Dhaka District Association, Bunker Business Association Italy, Munshiganj Bikrampur Association, Gazipur District Association, Manikganj District Association, expressed their condolences at the temporary Shaheed Minar.Narsingdi District Samiti, Raipur Upazila Samiti, Sanpaolo Social Organization, Triburtina Social Welfare Organization, Sentchelle Unity Parishad and other leaders of various regional and political organizations.
